Springfield, SD Firecracker 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk results.

Springfield, SD-  Sixty-eight individuals turned out for the fourth annual Firecracker 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk July 5.
Coordinated by Libby’s Grille, the event proved to be a tremendous success in raising funds for the city baseball/softball programs.
The weather cooperated once again with no rain in sight during the competition.

    Winners of the 5K run were announced for first and second places in six different categories: under 25 male, under 25 female,
25 -34 male, 25-34 female, 35 and over male and 35 and over female. The top place for walkers were also announced.

The winners were:

1 Mile Walk:

    First place – Debbie Neugebauer of Dimock – 14:59

5K Run:

Under 25 female:

    First place – Bobbie McLaury, Elk Point, SD – 22:46

    Second place – Robyn McLaury Elk Point, SD – 24:03

25 -34 female:

    First place – Aamy Drotzman of Yankton – 22:54

    Second place – Rachel Hallvin of Tea, SD – 24:32

35 and over female:

    First place – Lori Petrik of Laughlin, NV – 22:49

    Second place – DeAnn McClure of Yankton – 23:01

Under 25 male:

    First place – Trace Tjeerdsma of Avon – 19:12

    Second place – Sean Guthmiller of Orange City, IA – 19:50

25-34 male:

    First place – Cory Libis of Omaha, NE – 20:46

    Second place – Rodney Tjeerdsma of Omaha, NE – 23:01

35 and over male:

    First place – Jim Ruppelt of Lincoln, NE – 19:45

    Second place – Tom Horan of Rapid City, SD – 21:41
