Saturday, September 14th, 2002 - Highland Festival 5k race, Scotland, SD

The run begins in front of the Scotland Swimming Pool.  It is a fairly flat course.  The first half of the race takes you on a paved road that runs east out of Scotland.  And then there is a turn around point, and we run back.
Registration is from 7:00 to 8:00 AM on Saturday, September 14th.  Registration will be right in front of the swimming pool also. Registration is $9.00 before the end of August, and $10.00 after September 1

Saturday, September 14th, 2002 - Gold Bar 5k, Brookings, SD
Race begins and ends at DePuy Military Hall on the SDSU campus. First, Second, and Third place medals will be awarded to the top male and female runners. Post race refreshments will be provided. All participants receive a long-sleeve t-shirt and a water bottle. A number of prizes will be raffled off after the awards. Proceeds benefit the Army ROTC cadet fund.

This will be a challenging race, as all trail races should be......including 4 very long uphill climbs. Course MAP  and couse Photos!!

Wednesday, September 25th, 2002 - Elementary Cross Country Series Race #1, Spencer Park in Sioux Falls, SD
Start time is 3:30 p.m. at Spencer Park, located on Cliff Ave. in Sioux Falls, SD just south of the I-229 exit for Cliff Avenue. Distance is 1200 meters, all participants receive ribbons, refreshments are provided each night, those running in all 3 events receive a special award. This series has been immensely popular the past 3 years, so if you have a child interested in running, this is a good event to attend.
