Distance: 8 Miles
Location: Newton Hills State Park,
6 miles south of Canton, SD on County Road 135
(from I-29 – Highway 18 east to Canton, south on County Road 135)
Entry Fee: $20.00 by September 22nd, 2003
SFARC members $17.00, $25 after 9/22/03 for all runners
*Note, enter early as we'll need to know t-shirt sizes for you as you finish.
Note: There is a
$3.00 entry fee to get into the park for those not having a SD State Park
pass.
This is Mandatory per State Park rules.
Awards: Special award to the top
male and female finisher. Also, the top 10 male and female finishers
will receive special awards. New this year, top 3 male and female finishers
over 50 yrs. old will receive awards!
T-shirts will be given to each finisher of the race. Plenty of
refreshments available after the race.

Course Description:
Challenging course with 4 uphills and 4 downhills.
The start and finish are both at the observation tower
inside the park. First and last mile are on paved road, the
middle 6 miles are all on hiking/biking trails within the park
