It's a 5k run and a 3k walk starting at 9:00 a.m. from the Kimball High School east parking lot. Pre-registration fee is $17 and day of race registration is $20.
Your $17 pre-registration fee includes complimentary water, t-shirt and snacks after the race.  Awards/prizes will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers.

What: Sprint Triathlon, Swim: 400 yards, Bike: 15 miles, Run: 3.1 miles
Who: Racers 21 & older, individuals, or teams, male and female
Where: Race starts and finishes at Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA 601 Riverview Drive, South Sioux City, NE. Race stretches over bridge into Iowa and back into Nebraska.
When: October 3, 2009. First swim heat is 9AM at NWS YMCA indoor pool
Why: Y NOT? A Tri-State Triathlon is long overdue in the Siouxland area.
Cost: $35/individual $75/Team
**The Triathlon is also part of “Siouxland Oktoberfest” October 3, 2009 at 3pm at Bev’s on the River in Sioux City, IA. $15 ticket gets you in the door with a free beer stein,
8 samples of Oktoberfest beer, brats, pretzels, and authentic German music. Proceeds benefit YMCA youth sports programs.
