Wecota is approximately 10 miles north of Faulkton, S.D. You can reach this thriving community
by driving north from Faulkton on a county road or by driving 5 miles west of state Highway 45 on Highway 20.
Then drive 1 mile south to Wecota. The race will be run around a section on gravel, dirt, and paved roads.

To help celebrate SDSU's Homecoming, Prairie Striders sponsors a 5K road race every Hobo Day before the Hobo Day parade. The flat 5K course begins and ends near Godfather's Pizza at 6th Street and Medary Avenue. Post-race refreshments are provided. All race participants receive a distinctive 2003 commemorative Hobo Day Run mug (suitable for whatever beverage you wish to fill it with).
