Saturday, March 17   St. Patrick's Day!

2nd Annual ST. PATTY'S DAY RACES -  Including 1-Mile and 5K Run - Sioux Falls, SD

Races for all ages and skill levels.   Prize for best St. Patty's Day costume! Overall male and female winners will receive special prizes. The top finishers in each age category (men & women) will be awarded prizes from area merchants.  T-Shirts to all entrants.

1:00 p.m. start for the 5K, in downtown Sioux Falls  (Fawick Park to Falls Park).   2:00 p.m. start for the 1 Mile (Main Avenue, start at 17th Street, finish between 5th & 6th on Main.  Straight mile course, paved road.)

Registration & Fees:  Single Entry Postmarked by March 9th, 2001: $20.00.  Late Single Entry by March 17th, 2001: $25.00.  Child Entry (12 & under) by March 9th, 2001: $15.00.  Late Child Entry (12 & under) by March 17th, 2001: $20.00. Can register day of the races.  Proceeds Benefiting:  Special Olympics of South Dakota & Main Street Sioux Falls.

21 Annual SHAMROCK FUN RUN, With Both a 5 Mile Race or 2.5 Mile Fun Run/Walk - O'Niell, NEBRASKA

Awards will be Steins, Mugs, and Coasters.  Course record for 5 miler:  Brad Vogt 26:19 and Roxie Erickson 29:36.  For the 2.5 miler:  Randy Jarzynka 13:20 and Darcy Stracke 15:49.

Saturday, March 31st

3rd Annual State Farm RUN FOR YOUR LIFE  10-Mile, 5K, and 1-Mile,  Lincoln, Nebraska

The races begin at the State Farm Regional Office at 222 South 84th St.  The longer races begin by making a loop around the building, then head south on 84th street to the Mo-Pac Trail.  Next, the runners turn east and head out on the limestone trail.  They will enjoy the beauty of the country wile running on a fast, flat course that should make for a scenic trip away from the city.

Start time:  1-mile,  8:30 a.m.; the 10-mile, 9:00; and the 5K, 9:05.  Cash prizes for top finishers of the 10-mile.  Awards for age-group winners. T-shirts (long-sleeve) for all participants.

Entry fees if received or postmarked by March 23rd, $15 for the 10-mile, $10 for the 5K and 1-mile.  Afterwards, $5 extra for all races, or $25 on the day of the race.
