Walkers start at 8:30 A.M. (MST), Runners start at 9:00 A.M. (MST) - Location: Sugar Loaf Trail Head on the Mickelson Trail West of Lead,

* WHERE: Register inside Club Fit (Fitness Center located right behind Doug’s Food Center on Main Street)
* Race will begin just west of the First Savings Bank on Main Street.
* ENTRY FEE: $15 for race/walk with T-Shirt. Special Rate for 12 and under: $10 with shirt.
* COURSE: The course will wind through the streets of Springfield, passing by the scenic Missouri River and over the bike trail.
The course will begin and end near the intersection of 8th & College Streets.
* Walkers will have the opportunity to walk a 1-mile course or the 5k course.
* AWARDS: Trophies will be presented to the top qualifiers in each division. Men and women will be split into age groups on race day.

This road race is sponsored by the Menno Athletic Club as a fund raiser and a community event.

Each paying runner has a chance to win in ONE race and will receive a specially designed t-shirt.
Runners can enter more races but can only win in one.
10K & 5K runners will be transported to the starting point south of Menno on 431st St.  The 10K has a hill at
the start then is flat the rest of the way to town.  The 5K is flat paved road.  The finish line is at the Menno State Bank.
The 1-mile is around the streets of  Menno.

Saturday, July 24th, 2010 – 24th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk - Spearfish, SD
The event includes a timed 13.1 mile run down the gorgeous Spearfish Canyon, a paved, slightly downhill route with four water stops.
Medals will be awarded to every participant who finishes the half marathon. Place medals will be awarded to the top three runners in
each category (male/female and age categories). We will also have a timed 5K Run/Walk, which will begin and end in the park and take
participants through part of the canyon. Medals will be awarded to the top two participants in each category. However, if you don’t
want to “compete”, you’re welcome to take your time walking the route and enjoying the scenery!
Registration and check-in will be from 5:50-6:45 a.m. in Spearfish Park. Half marathon participants will board buses to take them up to the
starting point at Savoy. The last bus will depart at 6:45 a.m. The half marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K will start at 7:15 a.m.
This event benefits the Northern Hills Area CASA Program, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and
protect the best interests of abused and neglected children involved in court proceedings through the advocacy of trained volunteers.
Your registration donation is tax deductable, and 100% of your donation will go to help these children.
T-shirts will be provided to participants on a first-come-first-serve basis. Beverages and snacks will be provided, and door prizes will
