Thursday, July 4th, 2002 - The Annual July 4th Races, 10k, 5k, kids races - Menno, SD
This road race is sponsored by the Menno Athletic Club as a fund raiser and a community event.
There will be a 10K, 5K, 2 mile run, and a kids 1 mile run.  Cost of entry fee is $10.00 before July 1, and $12.00 after July 1.  Each paying runner has a chance to win in ONE race and will receive a specially designed t-shirt.  Runner can enter more races but can only win in one.  The kids 1-mile has age divisions and 1st place medal and ribbons for other places.
10K & 5K runners will be transported to the starting point south of Menno on 431st St.  The 10K has a hill at the start then is flat the  rest of the way to town.  The 5K is flat paved road.  The finish line is at the Menno State Bank.  The 2-mile is around the streets of  Menno.  Registration at 7:30 am at the Menno State Bank on main street Menno and Hwy 18.

in the city limits and is mostly flat with a couple small inclines.
The event is held in conjunction with the Wayne Chicken Days Celebration
