Saturday, August 1st, 2009 - Hamill Centennial 5k Road race - Hamill, SD
(it's located south of Chamberlain on highway 49 in south central SD)
Race:  5K, 1mile fun walk, childrens races to follow
Location:  Hamill, SD  Meet in front of the Lutheran and Presbyterian churches
Time:  8:30 CDT
Registration:  8:00-8:30 CDT
Fees:  $10 preregistered,  $15  race day
Details:  Come celebrate 100 years in Hamill!  Located on Highway 49 in south central South Dakota.  Race will have some hills (4-6% grade max).
Combo of paved and gravel roads.  Start with quick run and turnabout by cemetery, then through town to the highway, northeast on Hwy 49 past the newly
reconstructed Hamill Dam, then back into town over the bridge and down Main street.  Finish in front of the Hamill Hall.  T-shirt and bottled water included.
Stay for the festivities!

There is a 5K and 10K race held on a TAC Certified course. Age groups are PreHigh School, High School,
Post High School to 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. 1st place over all male and female and

Montrose SpudFest 5K  Fun Run and 1 Mile Walk will be held August 22, 2009 at 9 am in Montrose. The course is timed. Cost for the event is $10 for adults ages
18 and over. Students 18 and younger are $8. Families of 4 will be $30.
Registration the morning of race will take place from 8:30 until 9 am on the Montrose Main Street. All proceeds from the race go to the
Montrose “Cash for Community Causes” fund, which is used to help families struggling with poverty in the area.
