Starts at 8:00 a.m. at Memorial Park in Huron $15 entry fee

Saturday, August 3th, 2002 - 16th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half-Marathon and 5 mile walk - Spearfish, SD
An all downhill half-marathon straight down Spearfish Canyon. A sure PR race. (and quad-burner too).
Register at Spearfish Canyon Park, bus leaves for start at 6:15 thru 6:45 a.m. (MST)
Race begins at 7:00 a.m. (MST)

August 10th, 2002 - Dewey Pistulka Memorial 5k and 10k - Bonesteel High School, Bonesteel, SD
Located west of the Fort Randall Dam and Pickstown, on Highway 18.  A great course!  Worth the trip.
T.A.C. Certified course for the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races and 5K Walk.  Divisions for Pre-high school, high school and post high  school to age 29, and then male/female age divisions starting at age 30 and going to 70+.  Sign up Aug 10th, 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. at the Bonesteel-Fairfax High School Gym.  Start time is 8:00 a.m.  Entry fee of $10 pre-registration, and $15 day of the race.  Awards to all runners in each age division.  A great breakfast available following the race.

Saturday, August 31st, 2002 - Hot Springs Triathlon, Hot Springs, SD
starting at the Angostura Recreation Area, The event starts at 7:30 a.m. at Breakers Beach area.
starts with a half mile swim at Breakers Beach area. From there, athletes will cycle 28.4 miles through downtown Hot Springs, north to the Custer County line and back to Breakers. The last leg of the event is a 3.4 mile run
