Sunday, April 6th, 2008 - Hash House Harriers run - Sioux Falls,
SD
Details: Starting Sunday March 30th the Hash House Harriers (HHH) will
begin meeting every Sunday at 12:30 and running by
1pm from Spencer Park at the intersection of S. Cliff and I-229.
HHH is an international organization with clubs throughout the
world and includes a diverse range or participants. The run will
be for runners, joggers, and walkers alike and will last approximately
one hour. The run will be marked with leads, false leads, and
dead-end marks and will be on and off-road. Afterwards participants
socialize and drink beer/pop, preferably beer. Participation
is $2 and includes beverages and snacks.
Drinking club with a running problem! Great excuse for exercise, socializing,

all proceeds will go to benefit the Vermillion/Clay County EMS.
Last year, almost $1500 was raised for the
Vermillion Volunteer Fire Department. preregistration at 9am,
race at 10am.

Friday, April 18th, 2008 - Chris Evans Memorial 5k - Rapid City,
SD
CHECK-IN 4:15-4:45pm at West Community Center Gym 5K Walkers Start
at 4:45pm 5K Runners and 1 mile Run/Walk Start at 5:00pm (MST)
All ages are invited to participate COURSE: Begins and ends at the
West Gym. No places will be awarded, but all participants will receive
a
race t-shirt. Door prizes will be drawn at the post-race party. REGISTRATION:
Pre-registration due by April 1st is $5 for students, $10 for adults,
and free for WMS teachers, administrators, secretaries and custodians.
After April 1st registration fee will be $8 for students and $15 for adults.
Applications and entry fees may be turned in to the WMS office or mailed
to West Middle School, 1003 Soo San Drive, Rapid City, SD 57702.
Pre-registration guarantees you a race day t-shirt. PARTY: Enjoy the
post-run party! All food is included in the registration cost thanks to
our generous sponsors! SPONSORS: Donations by sponsors listed on the
back of the race t-shirts will allow us to direct all proceeds
from your registration fee toward West Middle School. The West Middle
School student core with the most entries will win an ice
cream party for the whole core!

Sunday, April 27th, 2008 - Wellspring Stampede 10k - Rapid City,

Starts at 9:30am (MST) at Canyon Lake Park in Rapid City

The event is a 10K (6.2 miles) run and walk to benefit Wellspring,
Inc. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. at
Canyon Lake Park, Rapid City, South Dakota, with the race to start
at 9:30 a.m. You can also register on-line at www.wellspringrc.org
Wellspring, Inc. works with adolescents and their families. Located
in Rapid City, the organization provides residential treatment
for boys and girls, inpatient chemical dependency treatment for girls,
outpatient treatment, and outpatient chemical dependency
treatment for boys and girls. Wellspring serves over 1,000 young
people and family members a year.
Last year’s inaugural race was a huge success with over 150 individuals
participating. This year we hope to at least double
that amount with your support.
