Location:    Newton Hills State Park, 6 miles south of Canton, SD on County Road 135
(from I-29 – Highway 18 east to Canton, south on County Road 135)
Entry Fee*: $20.00 by September 20th, 2004 SFARC members $17.00,  $25 for everyone after 9/20/04
Note: There is a $3.00 entry fee to get into the park for those not having a SD State Park pass.
This is Mandatory per State Park rules.
Awards: Special award to the top male and female finisher. Also, the top 5 male and female finishers will receive special awards. 1st place age group awards to: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 and over (no duplications)
T-shirts will be given to each finisher of the race. Plenty of refreshments available after the race.

Course Description:
Challenging course with 4 uphills and 4 downhills, The start and finish are both at the observation tower, inside the park.
First and last mile are on paved road, the middle 6 miles are all on hiking/biking trails within the park.
